Blooms by Play-Doh Meadow Flower Bouquet Arts and Crafts Kit

As fun as it is to treat myself to a real bouquet of flowers from time to time, I love investing in faux plants and florals that don’t need to be watered and require little maintenance. For instance, my delicate LEGO Botanics Plum Blossom arrangement or my adorably expressive fake succulents.

So naturally, when I saw that Play-Doh launched a new kit that lets you craft and preserve a floral bouquet made out of, yes, Play-Doh, I got so excited. Here’s everything you need to know about the Blooms by Play-Doh flower kits.

What Is the Play-Doh Blooms Kit?

Blooms by Play-Doh is a collection of kits that lets you mold your own gorgeous flowers out of Play-Doh, right from home. They’re intended to offer a way for “adults to slow down, create and display realistic floral arrangements using Play-Doh compound,” according to the press release. Play-Doh is so satisfying to play with and reminds me of being a kid — I love the idea of reincorporating it into my list of potential analog hobbies.

Inside each kit, which you can buy at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and TikTok Shop, you will get instructions on how to create your Bloom. Each arrangement varies in size and number of flowers, but all of the kits include a rolling pin, stamper, and other tools to help mold and add texture to all of your petals and leaves. (You can preview how to make one of these Play-Doh arrangements on the brand’s YouTube channel, where they have step-by-step tutorials!)

Once you let your plants dry, you can use the included finishing spray to preserve your blossoms so you can display and admire them “for months,” according to the press release. Not to mention, each kit comes with a vase to display your adorable work.

Kits start at $24.99 and go up to $39.99, depending on the size of the bouquet. Currently, there are five Blooms by Play-Doh kits available: Bluebell Petite Flower Bouquet, Garden Flower Bouquet, Meadow Flower Bouquet, Rosy Petite Flower Bouquet, and Wildflower Petite Flower Bouquet. The collection also includes refill Play-Doh for each kit, which is sold separately.

Why I Want One

These Play-Doh flower kits feel like the perfect way to brighten up and breathe some life into your space without having to worry about watering a new plant or replacing wilted bouquets every week.

The idea of getting to craft the flowers myself and look at them each day makes me so happy. I like how these kits can help spark creativity but also have step-by-step instructions, because sometimes I’m not exactly sure what I want to make. I can’t remember the last time I used Play-Doh, but this makes me so excited to get back into some hands-on play.
