I may have finished my back-to-school shopping, but I am apparently not done looking at dorm bedding. LoveShackFancy and Pottery Barn Teen recently added a new color to the popular Garden Damask Organic Sheet Set, and if it got lost among all of the other dorm decor drops you were eyeing, consider this your reminder to check it out.

The Neutral/Ivory version of the sheets arrived with LoveShackFancy’s fall collection on July 17, according to Pottery Barn Teen, giving the ultra-popular floral-and-bow pattern a calmer, warmer update just in time for the seasons when your college bed becomes the best place in the whole dorm room. If the original pink or blue versions weren’t quite your style, this neutral drop might just be the one.

What Are the LoveShackFancy Garden Damask Sheets and Why Are They So Popular?

LoveShackFancy and Pottery Barn Teen have perfected the art of making dorm bedding that does not look like dorm bedding. The Garden Damask sheets are one of the collaboration’s signature designs, covering an ivory background with tiny florals, bows, and vintage-inspired details. Until recently, the recognizable pattern you can spot in dorm tours across the country (like this Dartmouth dorm and this University of Alabama room) was only available in pink or blue. But their fall collection launched a new option: Neutral/Ivory.

These sheets are so pretty, but they are also actually designed with college life in mind. The sheets come in twin/twin XL sizing (for $99), and Pottery Barn Teen specifically notes that the longer fitted sheet fits both standard twin and twin XL dorm mattresses. The cotton percale fabric is made from 100% organic cotton and can go straight into the washing machine — an important detail for busy college students likely using a shared laundry room.

The print is also super easy to build a room around. Pink, blue, or this new neutral can play well with so many different colors, and the pattern can peek out from under a plain comforter for a subtler look, or it can be layered with the coordinating Garden Damask duvet cover (and numerous other goodies from the collection) for the full LoveShackFancy effect.

Why the New Neutral Color Might Be the Best Version Yet

Instead of the brighter pink and blue details of the original colorways, the neutral version gives the same romantic pattern a softer, beige-toned look. The bows and florals are still there, so it doesn’t lose the LoveShackFancy charm that made the original sheets so recognizable. It just feels a little calmer and easier to style.

That versatility also makes it ideal for a dorm room. Space is limited, and I’m not sure about you, but I’m not storing an entirely separate set of fall, winter, and spring decor under my bed. Neutral bedding can transition between seasons and pairs with any other color blankets, pillows, or decor without looking out of place.

Or, if you are the type to swap out blankets and throw pillows for each season, you can pair the neutral with creams, browns, or oranges for a very festive fall look. When winter comes, add in some icy blue accents. And when spring eventually comes back around, the floral pattern already does half the decorating for you.

So if you missed the Neutral/Ivory Garden Damask sheets when they dropped a few months ago, they’re worth another look. Your fall dorm room refresh might be as easy as changing the sheets.
