When you think of Halloween decor colors, I bet you go straight to black and orange. We all do. But if you’re not looking to splash such bold hues all over your home, you can still get in the holiday spirit this year.

Pastels are making their debut in a lot of stores — reminiscent of last year’s “pinkoween” explosion. But this year, retailers are officially responsible for rebranding celebrations as “pastelween,” as far as we’re concerned, with the calming hues taking over the Halloween aisles. Lavender, peach, and light pink and blue shades are making strong appearances, and we’re all about ushering in this softer, lighter season of Halloween decor.
