16 National Coffee Day Freebies and Discounts You Don’t Want to Miss
If you can’t start your morning without your favorite coffee, then you’re gonna want to mark down September 29, aka National Coffee Day, in your calendar. There are so many National Coffee Day deals to be had, from national chains like Dunkin’ to regional spots like Shipley Donuts. Whether you’re an iced-coffee-year-round drinker or like to warm it up as the weather cools down, there’s a deal for you.
Each deal is a little different — from free coffee and doughnut offers to more complicated deals that require earning points or rewards. To help you snag the best offer, I compiled a list of National Coffee Day deals for your morning brew (or your afternoon pick-me-up!). We’ll update the list if new offers come through.

These popular chains are offering promotions in their locations all over the country. Some of them even include the weekend leading up to National Coffee Day on Monday, September 29.
Burger King
Royal Perks members can get a free medium iced coffee with a $1 purchase on September 29. You can sign up to be a Royal Perks member on the Burger King app or website. Once you register for an account, you’ll start earning “Crowns” on purchases, which can be redeemed for rewards.
Dunkin’
On Monday, Dunkin’ Rewards members can receive a free medium hot or iced coffee through the Dunkin’ app. You can sign up for Dunkin’ rewards on the Dunkin’ app or online. If you always want to wake up with Dunkin’, you can check out Dunkin’s exclusive Hatch “Brew and Renew” alarm and sunrise experience.
Circle K
Circle K locations are offering free medium hot or iced coffee on September 29 if you have the Circle K app — it’ll be a coupon or an Inner Circle Reward. Check their website to be sure your local store is participating.
Krispy Kreme
The iconic donut brand announced a partnership with Joe Jonas for National Coffee Day that kicks off the weekend before with a sweet treat. From September 27-29, customers can get an Original Glazed dozen for $1 with the purchase of any dozen at regular price. On Monday, September 29, anyone who visits a participating Krispy Kreme store can get a free medium coffee (hot or iced) and a free doughnut of choice, and you don’t have to make a purchase to take part in the promotion.

La Colombe
On September 29, La Colombe is offering a free Corsica Drip (black coffee) or free Oatmilk draft latte in store.
Playa Bowls
Playa Bowls is offering a buy one, get one free deal for Rewards Members on September 29 for 20-ounce Playola (cold brew) or Sweet Cream Cold Brew. To become a member, download the Playa Bowls app.
Gregory’s Coffee
The New York-based coffee chain is offering a free cup of their new protein coffee drink on September 29. To claim this offer, use the code “GAINS” in the Gregorys Coffee app at checkout. A commenter on Instagram mentioned that the code might only work when registered and logged in with an account, so you can sign up for rewards on the Gregory’s Coffee App.
Tim Hortons
From September 29 through October 4, Tims Rewards members can work toward a National Coffee Day offer in their Tims app. Make four separate brewed coffee purchases during that time period, and you’ll receive 400 Tims Rewards points, which you can redeem for a free coffee You can join Tims Rewards online or through the Tim Hortons app. The company also released four vintage hot beverage cups to celebrate the holiday, and they feature designs from previous Tim Hortons branding from the 1960s, 1980s, and two from the 2010s.
Paris Baguette
From September 27-29, PB rewards members can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase. To join PB rewards, download the Paris Baguette app.
Biggby Coffee
Biggby is offering a $1 (16-ounce) hot or iced Farm direct coffee from September 29 through October 1. Be sure to check if your local store is participating!
Peet’s Coffee
The California-founded chain has been celebrating National Coffee Day all month long. They are offering a Cold Brew Pass for $30, so Peetnik rewards members can get a medium cold brew daily for 30 consecutive days. The limited-time pass must be purchased by September 30, 2025. Once activated, it is valid for 30 consecutive days. The pass is available exclusively through the Peet’s app, and you can join Peetnik rewards through the app as well.
Voodoo Doughnuts
On September 29, customers in-store can get a free cup of “Magic Roast” coffee with any purchase between 6 a.m. and noon. Pumpkin Spice Latte Doughnuts will also be $2 that day, and customers can get $5 off Pink Mugs and $5 off 12-ounce bags of Magic Roast coffee in-store or online.
Shipley Donuts
From September 26 through October 10, Shipley Donuts is offering the new Cold Brew Donut. And yes, it’s actually caffeinated! Additionally, loyalty members can get a free Cold Brew Donut or Original Glazed with the purchase of any coffee at select locations on September 29. The promotion is available in-store and online when scanning the loyalty app. You can become a loyalty member through the Shipley Donuts app.
Aroma Joe’s
Aroma Joe’s is offering a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee on September 29. Additionally, if you download Aroma Joe’s Rewards, you can get one free 24-ounce hot or iced coffee from September 29 through October 6.
Whataburger
On September 29, anyone can get a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee, and you can customize it with vanilla, caramel, or sweet cream. There is no purchase necessary for this promotion, and it is available through the Whataburger App or online. First-time app users can also get a free Whataburger.
Philz Coffee
Philz is celebrating National Coffee Day with an exciting giveaway: free coffee for a week, month, or year! To enter, post a photo or video of your go-to Philz order on Instagram with the hashtag #HowIPhilz and tag @PhilzCoffee. You can enter through 5 p.m. PT on September 29, and 16 winners will be drawn on September 29 and announced within a week.
