How We Chose the Winning Coffee Maker
We went straight to the source to determine our winners for the Dorm Therapy Awards 2025, surveying more than 360 college students and recent grads to learn about their absolute favorite products they used in their dorms.
For the winning coffee maker, we first looked at how many students recommended specific products. We then took into account the average ratings of the most recommended coffee makers; students rated their recommendations on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being a product they loved and would “definitely recommend.” This coffee maker was recommended by most students, making it our winner.
The Winner: Keurig K-Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker
Nearly all of our student respondents had a variation of a Keurig product, and this single-serve option was a clear favorite because of its size and price. Students gave this mini coffee maker an 8.6 average rating.
