IKEA is an amazing place. It’s filled with colorful Swedish furniture and household essentials that are easy on the wallet. But, unfortunately, it can also be a place of heartbreak — that is, when one of your very favorite items is discontinued. Just the word makes me shudder. The latest item to meet this fate? The TOLKNING basket.

The handmade rattan basket from IKEA has been marked with the foreboding “last chance to buy” label, so its days are clearly numbered. It’s such a bummer because the basket is gorgeous, provides convenient storage, and is priced at $39.99.
A former Apartment Therapy editor sung its praises in her review of it, noting that it makes for perfect under-the-bed storage. She loves how it’s handmade from rattan and how she can easily fit two under her bed to store bedding and bath towels (which is a smart move for anyone who doesn’t have a linen closet to store these items in).
