This Edgy Decor Idea Is So Much Better Than a Bulletin Board

From the calendar my mom made to framed postcards from places I’ve traveled, I’m always finding new ways to decorate my walls. That’s why I love the idea of corkboards that double as jewelry storage, but this new version I spotted on TikTok that uses a dartboard is even cooler looking.  

In her TikTok video, Meg Cangemi (@megcangemi) shows how she hangs a dartboard on her wall and uses push pins to display things like dangly jewelry, mini photos, and bag charms. She links out to the dartboard and photo printer she apparently used, though if you don’t need a new one — and you’re not picky about the size — check out Facebook Marketplace for another good place to find a used dartboard. This Amazon Basics version is a little cheaper and comes with darts, too.  

To set it up, be sure to use Command strips that can hold the weight of your dartboard, or, if you’re in an off-campus apartment that allows you to put some small holes in the wall, you could screw it into place (just make sure to check with your landlord). 

Decorating your dartboard is the fun part. In the video, Meg hangs up necklaces with push pins and pics printed with a mini printer. If it were me, I’d use it as a way to store my necklaces that would keep them free from tangles, along with my hoop earrings and even my studs (by sticking the posts directly into the board). It would also be cute to add some little hooks to the board for sunglasses or ball caps.

Meg uses pushpins on the dart board to secure everything in place, which looks so cute, and if you’re living in a dorm that’s definitely the way to go. If you’re in an apartment, though, and your dartboard comes with darts, you could even lean into the aesthetic and use the darts themselves to hang things up.
