If you associate garlands with holiday decor, I’m here to tell you they’re getting a whole new life over on TikTok, and the vibes work for all seasons.
Early last year, I spotted @kyraapolinar’s video, in which the TikToker crochets a bow garland that’s sure to add a touch of personality to tons of different spaces. It proved to me that a garland can be the perfect solution to boring, overdone wall decor. And that a crocheted one can make a space look homey and sophisticated at the same time.
In the video, the content creator demos how to make the bows and connect them together, but also highlights how customizable this DIY project can be. You can find yarn in almost any color, meaning it can match the aesthetic of your room perfectly.
Not into bows? Check out @kumo.kuma TikTok video of wisteria-inspired crochet “curtains.” The video includes a full tutorial as well. A flower garland wasn’t something I knew was missing from my life, but I think I’ve found my next crochet project.
