I Tried Dunkin’s Entire “Wicked” Menu, and This Is the Drink I’d Order Again (and Again!)
I’ve been waiting (somewhat) patiently for Wicked: For Good to finally arrive since part one hit theaters last fall. As someone who is obsessed with all things Wicked, I love seeing the collaborations they do with brands and food chains to promote the film. When I saw that Dunkin’ dropped a Wicked collab menu, I knew trying it was a must.
I was a little skeptical going into this, because I usually prefer iced coffee instead of Dunkin’ Refreshers, but as a true superfan, I wanted to give all of the Wicked menu items a chance.
What Is Dunkin’s Wicked Menu?
The Dunkin’ and Wicked collaboration menu promises a “taste of magic,” with two themed drinks and an exciting twist on classic Munchkins. There’s both a pink drink and a green drink to represent and Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, of course, and there are Wicked-themed Munchkins.
What Are the Wicked Munchkins Donut Hole Treats?
While the drinks are fun and unique, I think the cutest aspect of this collaboration is the Wicked Munchkins and the adorable tin they come in. The Wicked Munchkins are just the original glazed flavor, but are covered in pink and green sprinkles for a festive touch.
What Is the Wicked Green Matcha?
The light green matcha latte that represents Elphaba is Dunkin’s classic Iced Matcha Latte with two shots of brown sugar syrup and two shots of toasted almond syrup. The latte is made with whole milk, which adds an extra creaminess to the drink. It can also be made with almond or oat milk options. I paid $5.09 for a small latte at my Dunkin’ location.
What Is the Wicked Pink Refresher?
Glinda’s elixir is Dunkin’s Strawberry Refresher made with sparkling water and two shots of blueberry syrup. According to the menu, it promises to pack a punch with strawberry, dragonfruit, and blueberry flavors. At my Dunkin’ location, I paid $6.29 for a small size of this drink.
My Honest Review of Dunkin’s Wicked Menu
I only took a quick glance at Dunkin’s Wicked menu before tasting the drinks, so my first tastes were all a bit of a surprise. I can say with confidence neither of these drinks are what I expected, or anything I would ever think to order on my own.
My Honest Review of Wicked Munchkins Donut Hole Treats
I love the classic glazed Munchkins, and the sprinkles totally gave them a new flavor that was a little sweeter, and, of course, had a different texture, thanks to all the sprinkles. I’m not sure if I’ll give up my go-to donut order for these, but they were a fun treat.
My Honest Review of the Wicked Green Matcha
This drink reminds me so much of Elphaba because they are both misunderstood. I had never thought to try Dunkin’s matcha, but it kind of blew me away! I was pleasantly surprised at the matcha flavor.
The sweet, nutty flavor of the brown sugar and toasted almond syrups mixed with the creaminess of the latte and made the most perfect drink. I had only ever tasted matcha lattes with vanilla syrup or honey, but these unexpected flavors complemented the matcha flavor really well, and I’d definitely order it again. As the weather gets colder, I would totally order this hot as well. It’s cozy and sweet, but not too overpowering.
My Honest Review of the Wicked Pink Refresher
I’m not a fan of anything fizzy, so this take on a classic Dunkin’ Refresher, which isn’t usually made with sparkling water, was a new experience for me. I love Glinda, though, so I had to give it a try, even though I usually prefer refreshers when the weather is warm.
Putting aside the fact that this is a fizzy sip, I tried to focus on the flavors, but there wasn’t a specific fruit taste that stood out for me from the strawberry, dragonfruit, and blueberry flavors. If you love seltzer or soda, then you’ll probably really enjoy this bubbly, fruity (and very sweet) drink. I might just have to try it again on a warmer day to see if its quenching powers make it a standout.
