Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty took over social media when it premiered in 2022, and now that the series is back for Season 2, it’s putting fans in a chokehold all over again. The series’ likable — if flawed — characters and coming-of-age plot are sweet enough to win over pretty much any YA fan. (Case in point: I’m already planning on buying a beach house where I’ll spend every summer with my best friends.)

Based on a novel series of the same name by romance author Jenny Han, TSITP takes place during the summertime in the fictional East Coast town of Cousins Beach. The show didn’t just captivate viewers for its relatable storylines and complicated love triangle (Team Conrad, by the way), though — it also has a desirable beach aesthetic and summer vibe. Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, and the rest of the Cousins crew’s summer vacation shenanigans are set against a picturesque backdrop that feels like a timely reflection of the recent coastal cowgirl and coastal grandmother trends that have taken over TikTok in recent months.

With two seasons now out and a third in the works (there are three novels in Han’s series, after all), the show has quickly become a summertime staple. However, if you want to feel like you’re on vacay in Cousins Beach year-round, you can! Here’s how to bring The Summer I Turned Pretty vibes to your dorm room with affordable decor products that’ll cost you under $200 total.

Urban Outfitters
$89.00

Toile: The print on your grandmother’s walls and in Belly’s bedroom. Toile prints have a timeless, classic coastal aesthetic, and this duvet cover evokes a homey and vintage feel I’m sure Susannah would love.

Walmart
$31.60
was $36.30

This white throw pillow would look darling on top of the toile duvet cover, adding a pop of whimsy to the somewhat grown-up pattern. Besides, Cousins Beach is all about coastal vibes, and what’s more coastal than something shaped like a shell?

Mermaid Cove
$19.99

If you’ve ever lost your keys or the lanyard that holds your student ID (guilty!), these wall hooks will help keep you organized in style. Choose from the shell, starfish, or sand dollar designs for a small but impactful detail that’ll make your room feel as close to the beach as possible.

Etsy
$19.73

In keeping with the shell theme, snag a trinket dish in the shape of a starfish, which you can use to store jewelry, spare change, or toiletries. You’ve got to love functional decor — especially when you’re in a cramped dorm room.

Urban Outfitters
$19.99
was $24.00

These coastal-inspired woven hanging mirrors from Urban Outfitters are perfect for filling up empty spaces on your walls. Are you in your dorm room, or are you in the Fishers’ beach house?

Society6
$14.25
was $19.00

A bright art print from Society6 is another excellent way to fill up wall space. Posters are lightweight and easy to hang, and this one makes me think of my two favorite surfers: Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher.
