In my personal opinion, there is no better breakfast than a burrito. Eggs, cheese, potatoes and sausage, all stuffed in a fluffy tortilla? Yeah. It hits the spot every time.

I order one whenever I see it on brunch menus during the weekends. And on the weekday mornings when I want something a bit more special than a bowl of cereal, I reach for Trader Joe’s Chicken Sausage Breakfast Burrito.

What’s So Great About Trader Joe’s Chicken Sausage Breakfast Burrito?

Every aspect of this breakfast burrito is just delicious: chicken sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sautéed onions, and white cheddar cheese all in a chewy flour tortilla. The chicken is well-seasoned with sage and thyme, the eggs are fluffy and savory, the potatoes are firm with a good chew, and the cheddar cheese pulls it all together (and gives an incredible cheese pull when cut in half).

The best part? The flour tortilla. It is soft and pillowy while holding everything together. It rivals really any other grocery store tortilla that I’ve ever tried. It makes sense; Trader Joe’s won The Kitchn’s flour tortilla taste test

At $4.49, it’s about a third of the price of the breakfast burritos I typically order at restaurants and is a hefty 8 ounces. It’s a nice and more affordable treat every week or so before classes.

What’s the Best Way to Enjoy Trader Joe’s Chicken Sausage Breakfast Burrito?

The package suggests reheating the refrigerated burrito in the microwave for a minute, but I take it a step further to make it next-level. After it’s warm from the microwave, I place it in the air fryer for two minutes at 350°F to give it a crispy exterior and a warm, soft interior that rivals anything from a restaurant. Plus, I always add a bit of Cholula Hot Sauce for a bit of a kick.
