If you ask me, every Thanksgiving spread needs some sort of breadbasket. Dinner rolls are great, but biscuits are my personal favorite. When I spotted these Cheesy Herby Biscuits from Trader Joe’s, I knew I had to try them.

These cheesy buttermilk biscuits exceeded my expectations. The combo of rosemary and thyme makes them taste like Thanksgiving. And the cheddar and Parmesan make them approximately 100 times more exciting than the canned biscuits so many people bake for the holiday.

What’s So Great About These Cheesy Herby Biscuits from Trader Joe’s?

The TJ’s Cheesy Herby Biscuits come frozen, so they’re easy to buy now and store for later. All you have to do to make them is place them in the oven on a baking sheet at 375°F for 28 to 32 minutes.

Initially, when I took the biscuits out of the freezer and removed them from the box, I was a little skeptical — they were more gray than golden and didn’t look totally delicious. But I’m glad I still gave them a try. While they’re not the most beautiful biscuits, they are delicious. I ended up sharing them with my roommate and we both said out loud, “Wait, this is actually pretty good.”

Each biscuit tasted like a warm hug. You could taste the savory cheesiness, but the combination of the cheese with the herbs is what really sold me — it gave the biscuits that cozy November feel.

What’s the Best Way to Enjoy the Cheesy Herby Biscuits from Trader Joe’s?

If you’re hosting Friendsgiving get-togethers or taking something to a Thanksgiving potluck, consider these biscuits. I guarantee they’ll disappear quickly! I’m all for adding some cheese to a Thanksgiving spread; spreading a dab of butter onto these biscuits and then using them as a vehicle for your mashed potatoes and turkey sounds like the perfect cheesy flavor upgrade to me.

Plus, they’re an easy last-minute bake for when holiday cooking starts feeling overwhelming.

Even though her heart belongs to the ocean, the mountains are becoming a close contender. Her favorite part of living in Burlington, Vermont, for college is its unique coffee shops. Her perfect day would consist of going to a cute café in the morning, then spending the day at the beach swimming and reading, then ending the day by shopping and getting dressed up for a nice dinner downtown.
