I remember my first college move-in day so distinctly. I was scrambling to find enough containers to fit all my things at the last minute — I had so much more stuff than I realized. It was pure chaos, and my jumble of  boxes and bags was far from cute or practical. Enter Tatum Louise, a new line of reusable moving bags, designed by a recent college grad, and  they are actually so adorable.

What Is Tatum Louise and What Do They Sell?

Launched in May 2026, Tatum Louise was founded by Tatum McNally, a recent graduate of Denison University. Her company sells a range of carryall bags that come in three striped colorways: Grasshopper Green, Marina Blue, and Peony Pink. Each color comes in a set of three for $42 (plus taxes and shipping).

Each Tatum Louise bag measures 28.8 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 12.6 inches tall, and can hold up to 50 pounds. They’re water-resistant; feature a full-length zipper, carrying handles, and a clear pocket where you can place a label. The bags also fold flat to easily store them under your bed when you’re not using them.

It turns out her own college experience sparked McNally’s idea for these cute, functional bags. It states on the brand’s website that “Tatum Louise was born during move-in day,” explaining that McNally didn’t think standard moving bags matched “the excitement of starting something new.” And that led to the official mission of Tatum Louise: “To bring color and joy into life’s everyday moves, turning packing chaos into confident self-expression, one vibrant bag at a time.”

After browsing the site, I can say that these colorful, striped, reusable bags look great for packing or storing, and they’re certainly cuter than your average cardboard box.

What Makes These Reusable Bags So Good for College?

Thanks to the sturdy handles, you can carry these bags by hand or slip them on your shoulders like a backpack for extra-heavy loads, which is great for moving a school year’s worth of belongings in an afternoon. Since they’re designed to stand out, you won’t lose your stuff in a sea of boxes and bags on move-in day. They might even spark some conversation, and they’ll definitely make for aesthetic college move-in day Instagram posts

These bags are also so cute that you won’t mind them peeking out if you use them as under-bed storage for your off-season clothing, cleaning supplies, old textbooks, or whatever you need to store.

The Tatum Louise carryalls are splurgier than your typical $5 blue bag, but since they’re more stylish, you’ll probably use them more often, from carrying large grocery hauls to packing for a weekend trip. You could also split a 3-pack of bags with a couple friends if you only want one carryall.

In addition to being so much cuter than standard moving bags, the best part is that you can plan to use them for years to come, from moving in and out of college to transitioning into your first apartment and beyond.
