This $10 Storage Gem Will Free Up So Much Space in Your Dorm Room (It’s Brilliant!)

Finding storage space for your precious hoodies and sweatshirts can be a difficult task, considering the inherently bulky nature of your coziest clothes. However, this autumn you won’t have to sacrifice your favorite sweats for extra closet space. A quick Amazon purchase might just be the key to amplifying your wardrobe storage with hardly any extra effort required.

In a new video, TikTok creator Audrey (@livingwiselyy) shows off a savvy storage hack to viewers who might be struggling to organize their cold weather gear.

Audrey uses an over-the-door shoe organizer from Amazon to store her hoodies in her room. Instead of filling the pockets with shoes, she puts a different sweatshirt in each one, allowing her to fit tons of options without taking up any space in her closet or drawers.

This Amazon shoe organizer is designed to easily hang on your door, using four over-the-door hooks to keep it in place. This makes it the perfect dorm and renter-friendly solution for extra storage, as it doesn’t require drilling any holes into your walls. It comes in a variety of colors, from beige and black to pink and gray, perfect for adding a touch of personalization to an otherwise boring space. The shoe organizer comes with 12 compartments, and is 66.5 inches high and 23 inches wide. The compartment sizes also vary, so you may even be able to squeeze multiple hoodies, or a full sweatsuit into some of the slots.

Some commenters suggest using this product for T-shirts, leggings, or even towels as well depending on what your wardrobe looks like. 

Another commenter adds that this shoe rack would work great as under-bed storage, too, for those not wanting to display their clothing in their room.
