Grad parties are always so exciting — I graduated from college this weekend, and my friend’s parents planned a little graduation party for our friend group and their families. My favorite part when I plan a party is picking a theme and decorating for it. The thing is, all of those cute details can add up quickly. That’s why an easy decorating DIY can really save the day — like this party cup idea I saw on TikTok.

How to Use Stickers to Make Your Own Party Cups

In a TikTok video from user @samiiiikr, she shows how she decorated a stack of clear plastic cups with  colorful star and jewel stickers, transforming them into the cutest party cups in a matter of minutes.

To try it out for yourself, just buy some fun stickers that relate to your party theme. These gem stickers from Amazon come with 880 pieces for just over $5 and they come in all different colors like pink, blue, green, orange, and purple. They’d be perfect for a Y2K theme or just a general celebratory look that’s a little more exciting than your out-of-the-package boring plastic cups.

This idea works for any kind of party, too, not just graduation! For a spring birthday, you could go with a floral ’70s vibe with some sparkly flower stickers (plus they’re waterproof!). Or, if you’re hosting a tailgate, some football stickers would really add to the atmosphere.

You can buy clear plastic cups at most local grocery stores or discount department stores for under $10, and then all you need to customize them are the stickers of your choice. It’s a small detail, but such a great way to get creative and your guests will definitely notice. No one wants to hold onto a boring cup all night. One more fun tip: You could even make sure guests use the same cup all night by using mini letter stickers to spell out your guests’ names on the cups — or let them do it themselves!
