As a college student, I love perusing Dorm Therapy’s Dorm Tours to get inspiration for ways to decorate my space. It’s so cool to see real students show off their rooms, and I can always spot some gem in there that I want to shop for my own apartment. In Sienna Mello’s Syracuse University dorm tour, for instance, she shows off this gorgeous gold mirror that I’m in love with.

What Is the OIGUMR Vintage Hanging Mirror?

True to its name, this vintage-inspired mirror is an ornate decor piece that has a worn gold color and an oval-shaped resin frame with rose and flourish designs. Sienna chose to hang this mirror above her bed in her dorm, making it part of a framed gallery wall with a matching vintage aesthetic. I find cute mirrors so hard to find, and thrifting for one can be hit-or-miss. So I love that you can buy the one Sienna uses on Amazon for $20!

It’s relatively small, measuring 12 inches high by 8.3 inches wide, but it can completely transform the vibe of your room. Especially if your room has a classic ‘50s movie star aesthetic or romantic vintage style, this mirror would fit in so well. But honestly, I could see it fitting in with so many different vibes, since it’s such a timeless piece.

It makes great dorm decor because not only is it a cute addition to your wall art, but it’s also so practical. If you need to do a quick makeup touch-up and your roommate is using the big mirror, just use this small one. If you don’t want to hang it up, you can also just prop it up on your desk, or even lay it down horizontally and use it as a mirrored tray for your jewelry or other odds and ends to make them look so much chicer.
