These “Cowboy Cheddar” Cheese Puffs Are So Good, I’m Eating Them By the Bagful
I am an absolute fiend for any and all cheesy and crunchy snacks — cheese puffs, cheese curls, cheese balls, you name it. I’ve tried almost every iteration, and I am always keeping my eyes out for the next best one. So when I caught wind that LesserEvil launched an all-new line of Crunchy Cheezmos, a riff on classic cheese puffs, I was super excited to try them.
The brand just released these cheesy snacks, and I was one of the very first to try them. I won’t go too far into detail just yet. But I’ll say, if cheese snacks are your thing, then you’re going to love them.
What You Should Know About LesserEvil Cheezmos
The new LesserEvil Cheezmos hit shelves at Whole Foods earlier this week and are expected to roll out to more grocery stores over the next few months. They come in two flavors: Cowboy Cheddar, a classic and bold cheddar, and Blazin’ Hot Cheddar, a spiced-up version.
Like all other LesserEvil snacks, this latest launch is organic, gluten-free, and free of GMOs. They are made with avocado oil and contain corn, sea salt, and buttermilk, among other flavorings. The two new snacks are a permanent addition to the LesserEvil lineup and are sold in 7-ounce bags for around $5.99.
My Honest Review of LesserEvil Cheezmos
I got my hands on both flavors. While the Blazin’ Hot Cheddar Cheezmos are the perfect balance between cheddar-y and spicy, I can confidently say that the Cowboy Cheddar Cheezmos flavor reigns supreme — the cheddar flavor is truly as intense as the neon orange color.
The Cowboy Cheddar Cheezmos looks and tastes just like a classic cheese puff. It’s incredibly cheesy and will leave your fingers bright orange. (Also classic.) Each bite is so savory and tastes like cheddar heaven.
I have absolutely no notes for these — they are so nostalgic and absolutely delicious. The flavor and crunch is so good that I ended up finishing the bag way faster than I expected.
