This New $15 IKEA Find Is So Handy for College Life (From Laundry to Groceries!)

It’s no secret that IKEA is a reliable source for small space essentials that work so well in your dorm or college apartment, from stylish storage ottomans to comfy (and affordable) mattresses. And the new KOMPISHÄNG collection that debuted online on August 15 is brimming with “portable pieces,” per an IKEA press release. From stackable stools to over-the-door hangers, each item was made to be “easy to carry, last longer than one home, and look good in a small space.”

Looking through the collection, one item in particular that stood out to me was the KOMPISHÄNG shopping bag with wheels — a college life necessity. 

Described on the product listing as “green,” photos of the bag read more dark or forest green, with similarly hued straps. It’s made of polypropylene and plastic and measures about 32 inches tall, 12 inches deep, and 16 inches wide. Where it really shines is its capacity, because it can hold up to 33 pounds. It has four wheels, so it can stand sturdily upright without tipping over, or be pulled easily along wherever you take it. It also zippers at the top and has a buckle to secure it closed, so you don’t have to worry about anything falling out as you wheel it up or down stairs or across a bumpy college quad.

It’s available online and in IKEA stores for $14.99. As of writing, it’s sold out in many locations, but since it’s a new drop, you can hopefully look for a restock soon.
