IKEA PS 2026 Floor uplighter lamp, dark red, 72 "

If you’ve scrolled on Instagram or TikTok recently, you’ve probably seen people talking about (and essentially drooling over) IKEA’s new PS collection. With the coolest color scheme and sort of ‘90s eclectic aesthetic, it’s such a vibe. There are a lot of blues, greens, silver, and reds, and the collection includes pieces like chairs, tables, couches, vases, statement decor, mirrors, and one of the most viral pieces from the collection —  the floor uplighter lamp

It’s a single-bulb adjustable floor lamp that lets you bend the arm to shine in all different directions. It costs $49.99, stands 72 inches tall, and comes in three retro-chic colors: a bold, bright blue; a deep red; and a playful yellow. As if the lamp isn’t cute enough on its own, this TikTok video shows the smartest way to customize it for your style.

How to Make the IKEA PS Floor Uplighter Even Cuter

In the TikTok video, user Meagan (@mmmaybeweird) shows off her new purchase of the yellow floor uplighter. Since it’s made of steel, you can add magnets to it to make it more personalized. Meagan adds a bunch of glass cube magnets in different patterns all around the arm and shade of the lamp, before adding some other mini plant magnets from her fridge to make it even more fun.

She then brings out some of her necklaces and uses magnets to layer those along the lamp, which totally transforms it from a light fixture into a funky jewelry display. She even ties a fun, patterned scarf around the bent neck of the lamp to add more character. It’s basically a dress-up game for your decor! (Just make sure you stick to the exterior of the lamp and don’t interfere with or block the lightbulb.)

I would totally put this lamp in a book nook in my apartment or next to the bed or desk in a dorm. The magnet hack for accessorizing the lamp makes it so that you can match it to whatever aesthetic your room is. Personally, I would buy the red lamp and add some cool black and silver star magnets for a grunge effect. I’d maybe even drape some cool lace onto it, too! The possibilities are endless.
