Kraft Mac & Cheese Is Launching Cheesy Ramen Noodles, and They Look SO Good
A box of mac and cheese is always a good thing to have tucked away in a cabinet for “emergencies.” Whether that occasion is not wanting to cook dinner or needing an easy late-night snack, mac and cheese is always a good idea. My brand of choice is Kraft Mac & Cheese.
Another thing I like to keep stocked in my pantry (for similar reasons) is ramen noodles. So when I heard that Kraft was launching cheesy ramen noodles, I was intrigued. Two of my favorite comfort foods merged into one? Yes, please! Here’s what we know about the upcoming drop.
Kraft Is Launching Cheesy Ramen Noodles in the U.S.
According to snack account @snackolator, Kraft Mac & Cheese is bringing three cheesy ramen noodle flavors to U.S. stores in April 2027: spicy, chicken, and pork. Each pack promises “cheesy goodness” in just 3 1/2 minutes.
This will be Kraft’s first time entering a new category in 20 years. According to the brand, cheesy ramen has emerged as one of the biggest ramen categories in recent years, so consumers will hopefully be extremely excited to see Kraft’s spin on it.
The flavors were released earlier this year in Canada, and if their upcoming expansion to the U.S. is any indicator of the reaction, then it’s safe to say that the Canadians loved them. “GUYS it’s fr good,” one person wrote on Snackolator’s post. Another person reviewed the Canadian version on Reddit and wrote, “I liked them a lot. Not overly spicy like Buldak, but some heat. I liked the soft texture of the noodles.” I can’t handle too much spice, but I like a little, so these sound like my taste buds’ dream.
The Kraft Heinz website in Canada currently sells a Kraft Dinner Extra Cheesy Ramen Bowl, and its packaging is a little different than the ones supposedly headed to U.S. stores next year. For these bowls, you add water to the indicated line and microwave. Once it’s done cooking, you pour in the two included packets of seasoning and cheese and stir.
This isn’t Kraft’s first step into the American ramen space. Earlier this year, Kraft launched a chicken ramen-flavored mac and cheese. If you’re itching to get a taste of Kraft’s spin on ramen, that flavor is still available at Walmart for just $1.48 a box. Personally, I’m holding out for the real cheesy deal.
