I Have Celiac Disease, and I’m Obsessed with These Gluten-Free Pizza Bites (They’re My Go-To for Study Breaks!)
As a college student living with celiac disease (a high sensitivity and inability to digest gluten), finding food that’s easy, affordable, and gluten-free can be a difficult feat. Some of the best gluten-free dishes tend to be expensive ($10 for a loaf of bread?!) or complicated to make at home. So when I first discovered Feel Good Foods, I actually teared up a little. I could enjoy some of my favorite foods again!
I was only diagnosed two years ago, so before I discovered my body rejected anything with gluten in it, I grew up eating delicious pizza bites as an after-school or Friday-night sleepover snack. I thought I would have to give them up (and I did for about a year!). Then I found Feel Good Foods Pepperoni Pizza Snacks. Ever since, they’ve become my go-to easy meal and quick dinner.
What’s So Great About Feel Good Foods Pepperoni Pizza Snacks?
Like all Feel Good Foods products, the pepperoni pizza snacks are certified gluten-free and contain no artificial colors, sweeteners, and additives. While the brand also has a three-cheese pizza (which is also its vegetarian-friendly flavor), my favorite is the Pepperoni Pizza Snacks. It’s just the right mix of baked fluffy pizza dough with a gooey inside!
The crust has the same stretch and golden shade that I remember from the gluten-filled pizza rolls I ate as a kid, only this one is without any gluten (it’s made with a mix of tapioca starch, cauliflower, and rice flour). I don’t know how Feel Good Foods makes the gluten-free dough so elastic, but the brand has worked its magic — if I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t be able to tell it’s gluten-free! (I’ve heard similar things about the frozen dumplings too.)
What’s the Best Way to Enjoy Feel Good Foods Pepperoni Pizza Snacks?
The first time I had Feel Good Foods Pepperoni Pizza Bites I was hit with a wave of nostalgic joy. I now eat them all the time, and when I do, I pop them in the air fryer according to the box’s directions, and they come out golden brown each and every time. They make the perfect study-break snack (or quick dinner).
I personally love to dip them in ranch (I’m from the Midwest, after all!), and share them with my study group. Yes, even my friends who aren’t gluten-free absolutely love them (they’re just that good!).
