This Retro “Film Strip” Frame Is My New Favorite Thing in My Room (So Cool!)

My favorite thing about having my own space, whether that be an apartment or a dorm, is being able to personalize it. One of my favorite ways to make my room my own space is photos, photos, and even more photos. I love being reminded of my favorite people and memories every time I walk into my space. 

But I don’t want any basic picture frame; I want something that will spice up my living space and make it feel a little more unique. So when I got this Personalized Film Strip from Etsy as a gift, I couldn’t wait to put it on display.  

This retro film strip is sold on Etsy and when your photos are printed onto the acrylic glass, it looks just like a big piece of film reel. You can choose between the 8×4.6-inch frame (which allows you to put three photos in) or the 10×4.6-inch frame (which allows for four photos). Once you select your size, pricing will vary based on the stand you get. You can either opt for no stand, or get one made of wood, acrylic, or an LED light stand. 

I was given the four photo strip version with a wooden stand, which costs $37.66. If you decide to pick the four photo option as well, the acrylic stand will cost the same, the LED light stand will be about $10 more, and the no stand option costs $10 less. 

Once you’ve checked out, you message the seller, TheLastMinuteGiftCo, by going to their Etsy profile in Etsy and hit the “contact” button. Send them your order number and the photos you want to use, and they’ll do the rest. (Tip: Send your photos in the order you want them to appear on the strip!)

I absolutely love this film stripe style photo keepsake. I am a big fan of vintage and film photos, so this was the perfect addition to my room. It looks exactly as is shown in the Etsy photos — my photos come out clear, the acrylic glass is durable, the stand doesn’t tip over, and it looks like a film strip, with numbers and squares on either side. I like it so much I decided to buy one for someone else, and the process was seamless — I checked out, and it was at my door three days later.
