The holidays are officially back at Dunkin’, and there’s a new latte on the lineup that sounds so promising. The drink everyone’s buzzing about is the Cookie Butter Cloud Latte, a new seasonal sip inspired by an internet-famous cookie butter cold brew Dunkin’ hack that customers loved last year.

Cookie butter is a staple spread year-round for me, so I was extra excited to try the drinkable version of it.

What Is Dunkin’s Cookie Butter Cloud Latte?

Made with espresso, cookie butter syrup, and topped with a layer of cookie butter cold foam and crunchy cookie crumbles, this iced latte is designed to taste like your favorite holiday cookie in drink form. If you’re not familiar with cookie butter, it’s a spread usually made with spiced speculoos cookies (most famously, Biscoff cookies).

Dunkin’ describes the Cookie Butter Cloud Latte as a mix of brown sugar, baked cookie flavor, and creamy sweetness. You might remember that Dunkin’ previously offered a Cookie Butter Cold Brew, which is also back for 2025. Dunkin’ also had Holiday Cookie Signature Latte (aka the drink that everyone used to hack a cookie butter latte before this year — you just add the cookie butter cold foam and cookie crumbles), which is not featured in this year’s menu.

But you don’t need to hack your way to holiday goodness in 2025, because the Cookie Butter Cloud Latte is one of Dunkin’s newest additions to its holiday menu lineup, which hit menus nationwide on November 5. You can order it iced (as Dunkin’ recommends) or hot if you’re into something a little more traditional. Either way, it’s designed to taste like dessert, without being cloyingly sweet.

I paid $5.70 for a medium size of the drink in North Carolina, with no additions or alterations.

My Honest Review of Dunkin’s Cookie Butter Cloud Latte

As I took my first sip, I immediately got why Dunkin’ called this latte “a dreamy twist” on a classic. The cold foam on top is the real star. It’s thick, creamy, and packed with that spiced cookie flavor. It’s sweet but not overly syrupy, and the cookie butter crumble gives it a subtle flavor that feels festive without being over the top.

I love a fun holiday coffee, but anything too sugary gives me an instant headache. This one hit a good balance of sweetness: cozy and flavorful without feeling like I just drank frosting. The espresso was also definitely strong enough — sometimes in sweeter drinks, the coffee flavor gets lost, but that was not the case here!

While I liked that it wasn’t too sweet, once I got past the cold foam, I found myself wanting a little more cookie butter flavor. For me, the flavor got lost in the espresso as compared with how it stood out in the cold foam. Once the foam started to melt, the drink leaned more like a standard iced latte with a whisper of cookie spice, which could be great if you don’t want an overpowering flavor. Next time, I think I’ll ask for an extra pump of cookie butter syrup to make it richer throughout.

Aside from the taste, the holiday design with winter-themed Munchkins on the iced coffee cup was also super pretty, which I loved for snapping a pic! It totally got me in the spirit for the holidays, and looked just as pretty and aesthetic as the pictures on the menu, which was definitely a plus for me and my Instagram Story.

My Final Thoughts on Dunkin’s Cookie Butter Cloud Latte

If you’ve ever wished your morning sip could taste like dessert without the sugar crash, this latte’s for you. The Cookie Butter Cloud Latte nails the vibe you need to get going on winter mornings: comforting, a little indulgent, and strong enough to wake you up. I loved the cold foam so much that I’d seriously consider asking for it on my regular coffee order.
