I Tried Dunkin’s New Spring Matcha Latte, and It Tastes “Almost Exactly” Like This Candy from My Childhood
Lately, my coffee orders have turned into cold foam experiments. If a drink has a new foam flavor, I’m trying it. Cookie butter, sweet cream, brown sugar — at this point I’m basically a cold foam expert. So when Dunkin’ released its spring 2026 menu, which includes a banana-flavored cold foam, I knew I needed to try it (especially after how much I loved the Starbucks Banana Bread Matcha).
I tried four items from the drop, and one of them is genuinely worth going out of your way for.
What Is Dunkin’s Spring 2026 Menu?
Dunkin’s spring 2026 lineup includes three drinks that feature a new banana-flavored syrup, and two of them are topped with a new banana cold foam. There are also new Berry Acai Refreshers and the new Dunkin’ Zero drink line, which is a zero-sugar energy drink that comes in six flavors. I tried two of the banana drinks, a berry refresher, and the new Wedding Cake Munchkins.
- The Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte: An iced espresso drink with banana and vanilla custard flavors topped with banana cold foam
- The Bananarama Iced Matcha: A sweetened matcha blended with milk and banana-vanilla custard flavors
- The Berry Acai Refresher: Mixed berry and açaí flavors served with tea, lemonade, or sparkling water
- The Wedding Cake Munchkins: Blueberry cake munchkins covered in new wedding cake sprinkles
I was most excited about the Berry Acai Refresher, but the banana cold foam totally surprised me.
My Honest Review of Dunkin’s New Spring Drinks
The Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte
This was easily the best drink of the lineup. The espresso balances the sweetness, while the banana cold foam adds a creamy layer on top — it tastes so similar to a banana Laffy Taffy! Drinking the latte with all the components in ones sip, it really does taste like banana pudding, but the coffee keeps it from feeling overly sugary. The banana flavor comes through clearly and doesn’t taste overly artificial, and the vanilla custard notes make it feel like a dessert-style latte. It smelled very sweet, and very banana-y — sort of like banana cream pie. I would absolutely order this again!
The Bananarama Iced Matcha
If you’re someone who loves a strong matcha taste, you might feel like it gets lost in the banana flavor here. This drink doesn’t have banana cold foam, but the syrup makes this iced matcha latte taste almost exactly like a banana Laffy Taffy, even more than the Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte. It was like a trip back to my childhood and a fun sweet treat — I actually loved it! It’s also pretty different from the Banana Bread Matcha I had at Starbucks — that one was more muted and toasty, like a warm bakery item, and this one screams candy. It didn’t have a strong scent, which surprised me because matchas usually do, but I got hints of that typical grassy fragrance.
Berry Acai Refresher
This was the lightest and most refreshing drink I tried. The berry flavor comes through clearly, and it isn’t overly sweet, which makes it a good option if you want something fruity instead of creamy. I tried it with tea, and it would probably be even better with lemonade, which they have as an option. I did wish the green tea flavor came through a little more, but I loved the berry flavor. This would be so refreshing on a hot day! It smelled kind of like a regular brewed tea, and I would for sure order this solid refresher option again.
My Honest Review of the Wedding Cake Munchkins
These were fun, but not the highlight. The blueberry munchkins themselves are classic and really good, and honestly they probably didn’t even need the sprinkles. The wedding cake topping mostly adds extra sweetness and decoration. They’re cute for sharing during a coffee run, but they’re not the standout item on the menu for me.
My Final Thoughts on Dunkin’s Spring Menu
If you try anything from Dunkin’s spring menu, get the Banana Puddin’ Cloud Latte. It’s the drink that feels the most different from the usual Dunkin’ lineup, and the banana cold foam really does make it taste like a coffee version of banana pudding. The rest of the menu is fun — especially if you like sweet drinks — but this latte is the one that really stands out.
If Dunkin’ keeps releasing new cold foam flavors like this, I’ll definitely keep trying them. At this point, it’s basically become a habit I don’t want to break.
