Between filling your cart with college essentials and figuring out how to decorate your dorm room, there’s so much to consider when it comes to dorm shopping. Newly relaunched dorm brand Dormify is all about trying to fill that niche by offering a single place to shop for everything from bedding to storage — all designed specifically for college life.

After being founded in 2011 by a mother-daughter pair, Dormify was acquired by Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (the company behind Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Teen, and seven other brands) in May 2025. Now it’s been officially relaunched with a new website and slate of convenient student services and products. The new Dormify is an aesthetic, function-first destination for students who want to maximize the style and livability of even the tiniest dorm rooms.

What Does Dormify Sell?

Dormify is still a one-stop shop for dorm living, but the relaunch sharpens its focus: Everything is built specifically to improve the experience of living in a small space. Their product offerings span furniture, bedding, storage, decor, bath, and closet and desk organization, with an emphasis on pieces that solve real dorm constraints.

That means foldable storage chairs that double as seating, stackable storage bins that fit under beds, and headboards that don’t require nails to mount (but include built-in outlets and USB ports). Even the bedding leans functional (think: cooling comforters, moisture-wicking fabrics, and mattress toppers designed to upgrade those standard-issue dorm beds).

Stylistically, Dormify has a clear Gen Z influence, which you can see in details like the soft lighting, layered textiles, and coordinated color palettes, but it’s primarily grounded in practical design. The classic silhouettes and minimalist color schemes seem less concerned with following the trends than creating elevated basics that make a small space really work.

Your Top Questions About Dormify, Answered

Here’s what to know before you shop the newly relaunched brand.

Is Dormify only for dorm rooms?

Not necessarily. While everything is designed with dorm dimensions and rules in mind (i.e., no nails, limited space, shared living), many of the products — like storage carts, organizers, and bedding — translate easily to first apartments.

What’s new with the relaunch?

Two of the biggest updates go beyond products. Dormify is introducing Pick-Up Near Campus™, which lets students pick up their orders from a nearby Williams-Sonoma, Inc. location, and a Dorm Concierge service designed “to coordinate delivery and help avoid common issues associated with campus mailrooms, apartment buildings, and shared-living locations,” according to a press release.

Is Dormify worth it for small spaces?

Though the price tags are on the higher end compared to many other places to shop for your dorm, if you’re used to Pottery Barn Teen prices, Dormify’s are pretty well aligned. If you’re dealing with a standard dorm setup — twin XL bed, minimal storage, strict campus rules — the brand’s biggest value is in how intentionally its products are designed. Pieces aren’t just scaled down to fit in dorm rooms; they’re built to solve specific problems like lack of outlets, limited floor space, or under-bed clutter
