Working across AT Media brands, I see through the completion of large-scale editorial projects from their inception. I've worked as an editor in digital media for nearly seven years, covering food and trending news at Elite Daily before coming to ATM. I love using em dashes and running along the Chicago lakefront.

What Is the Dorm Therapy Awards?

The Dorm Therapy Awards is our annual guide to the items you need for the coziest, cutest, most productive campus life.

In 2025, we delivered a list of 11 picks — the first-ever Dorm Therapy Awards winners — for the most essential items students buy for their dorms. This year the Dorm Therapy Awards are back, but even better and bigger — more than three times bigger! Now we’ve named *the* 34 products to purchase for your dorm during the 2026–2027 school year across six different categories: Organizing, Getting Ready, Eating, Lounging and Sleeping, Studying, and Cleaning.

How We Chose the 2026 Dorm Therapy Awards Winners

To choose the 34 winning products, we surveyed nearly 700 college students and recent grads, with the majority of respondents reporting that they currently lived in a dorm at the time they took the survey in February and March 2026. We asked students for their recommendations for dozens of dorm essentials and had them rate their products on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being “it did the job” and 5 being “I loved it!” Using their responses, public product ratings, and our professional expertise, we awarded 34 winning products that every dorm-dweller needs to make living at college feel like home.

All of the winning items on our list are used and recommended by real college students. You can read more about each winner in our Dorm Therapy Awards mega-list, including endorsements from current students. We also noted when a product was a repeat winner from last year or a Dorm Therapy editor’s personal favorite item, or when it fit perfectly with the aesthetic trends we forecast for dorms this upcoming school year.

See the full list of Dorm Therapy Award winners here, and get ready to be totally set for move-in day.

Special Projects Editor

I've worked in digital media for more than seven years — first as a writer, and then as a weekend and full-time editor. I began as a daily trending news writer for Elite Daily and then expanded my coverage as an editor into tech, food, social media, health, current events, and politics. I've collaborated with colleagues to create many exciting packages throughout my career, like Elite Daily's Money Issue, which aimed to help Gen Z better understand their personal finances. More recently, I helped launch Apartment Therapy and The Kitchn's "Happy Hosting!" vertical, packed with clever solutions for making holiday celebrations less stressful. I've also covered exciting product launches, including an Apple iPhone reveal in Cupertino, California. I've been lucky enough to interview accomplished individuals, including former WNBA star Sue Bird, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, and the iconic Dolly Parton. What I love most about digital media is connecting with readers. My goal is always to create well-researched content that impacts someone's day, whether that's offering practical solutions and reliable information or just providing a laugh with a well-placed pop-culture reference.
