There’s something about a bowl of cherries that just screams summer. So when I saw TikTok creator Angelina Marie (@anggg239)’s two-part series detailing how she crafted a cherry disco ball out of materials entirely from Dollar Tree, I knew I’d found the perfect decor idea for my next party.

In part one, Angelina shows viewers exactly where to source each of the materials needed for this fun DIY. The creator gathers a pink disco ball ornament (currently unavailable on the Dollar Tree’s website, but you’ll see similar options on Amazon), pipe cleaners, a roll of green felt, and then points out where to find crafter’s detailing scissors if you don’t already have those at home. The, ahem, cherry on top? Angelina says all of these items rang up for less than $5.

Supplies:

With all supplies on hand, Angelina demos how to put together the disco cherry in part two of the series. The first step is to use craft scissors to cut the ornament cap off of the disco ball. Then, twist three green pipe cleaners together to create a thick stem for the cherry, and round it out at the top to create a leaf shape. Afterwards, attach the stem to the disco ball with hot glue. While the glue dries, cut your felt into a small leaf shape and glue it around the top loop of the stem. If you’d like to make two cherries, repeat the steps with a second disco ball, and then connect them at the top with more hot glue.

Of course, DIY-ing isn’t for everyone, and if you can’t live without your cherry fix, there are plenty of premade options for you to shop, too.
