Everyone knows that college is expensive. And in addition to books for classes, you also need things like clothes, computers, and funds for having a little fun (like a spring break trip!) So, why not take advantage of college deals to try and save a buck here and there? There are plenty of retailers offering discounted prices for students, and all you usually need is your school email and your student ID.

From major discounts on your favorite streaming services to keep up with all your shows to deals on flights and even mattresses, there are plenty of savings to be had if you know where to look.

To help you out, I’ve compiled a list of places that offer student discounts so you can save where you can. This list will be periodically updated with additional student discounts, so come back to keep seeing where you can save!

Shopping Deals for College Students

1. Adidas

Verify your student status with UNiDAYS to unlock a special discount and free shipping at Adidas online. After all, who doesn’t love a closet revamp? That’s right, as a student you’re eligible to receive a special discount and free shipping on adidas.com/us orders.

2. Amazon Prime

If you’re between the ages of 18 to 24 (student or not!), you can take advantage of Amazon’s Prime for Young Adults offer, which is a free six-month trial of Prime. You can sign up for Prime and qualify here as a student (have your university name and graduation year handy) or as an 18- to 24-year-old. After paying $0 for six months, you get 50% off the subscription price for Prime (regularly $14.99 per month plus tax), which is $7.49 per month plus tax, until you turn 25.

Your Prime for Young Adults benefits include free delivery (including same-day delivery) on eligible items and addresses, 5% cash back on eligible products, and unlimited streaming access to Prime Video.

3. ASOS

Make adding a few new pieces to your closet a little easier on your bank account with the ASOS student discount. Want deals on cute clothes until you graduate? ASOS offers students discounts starting at 10% when you sign in with your school info. If you already have an ASOS account, they can link it to your student discount code. 

4. Dr. Martens 

Need some boots that are made for walking? Register your student status with UNiDAYS or Student Beans to get an extra 15% sitewide on Dr. Martens.

5. H&M

Add closet staples and trendy items to your closet with H&M’s student offer. Sign in through Student Beans or Student Price Card to unlock your 10%-off student discount when you shop H&M online.

6. J.Crew

While a lot of deals are online only, this one is good online and in stores. As a student, you can receive 15% when you shop with your student ID. Are you a J.Crew frequenter? No worries. This discount works up to four times a month. 

7. Levi’s 

Rock a new pair of jeans thanks to Levi’s student discount. Receive 10% off by inputting your school’s name and student-identifying info. In return, you’ll get a custom coupon code. It’s unclear if this deal is online-only, but with a coupon code, that’s likely the case. 

8. L.L.Bean

For another deal good in person and online, you can shop the viral Boat and Tote and take advantage of 10% off at L.L.Bean when you verify your student eligibility with SheerID. 

9. Madewell

Stock your wardrobe with sturdy pieces and take advantage of Madewell’s 15% discount online and in stores. In just three steps, you’ll have access to your discount for one calendar year. Sign in or sign up for Madewell Insider, verify your status as a student, and shop!

10. Nike

Finally snag that new pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing with Nike’s student discount that’s good online and in the Nike app. Verify your student ID with SheerID to access the 10% off offer. 

11. Sam’s Club 

Fulfill your grocery needs with Sam’s Club’s college student offers. Verify your student status through ID.me to receive 60% off a Club membership or $50 off a Sam’s Club Plus membership

12. Stanley

Treat yourself to a new water bottle with Stanley’s student discount. Verify your eligibility through ID.me and shop everything from tumblers to shaker bottles. The company doesn’t list a discount amount, but it’s better than paying sticker price!

13. Target

Shop dorm decor, apartment essentials, groceries and clothes with Target Circle. As a student, save over 50% on a Circle360 membership, which includes same-day delivery. Verify you’re a student through your profile to access these deals. You can also verify as a student to get Target Circle deals for free. 

14. Tommy Hilfiger

Stock up on trendy clothes with Tommy Hilfiger. Verify your student ID through ID.me to access 15% off your purchase.

15. Under Armour

Treat yourself to a new outfit with Under Armour’s 20%-off student discount. It’s available online only; register your student status through UNiDays to start shopping and saving. 

16. Vera Bradley

Shop your favorite patterns or invest in a new backpack at Vera Bradley. Through the company’s appreciation discount, students receive 10% off by showing their ID at the register or verifying their eligibility online through ID.me. 

17. Walmart +

Get access to a variety of household goods with Walmart +. Verify your student access with a third-party site and get your choice between a monthly or annual plan. For either $6.47 per month or $49 per year, get all that Walmart has to offer. 

18. Champion

If you use your ID.me verification when you check out, Champion offers college students a 10% discount on that cozy sweat suit perfect for lounging and late-night study sessions. 

19. Stanley

Treat yourself to a new tumbler at a discount, thanks to Stanley’s ID.me discount, which applies to students as well as teachers, first responders, military members, and more. Taking 20% off that full-price Stanley Quencher and staying hydrated in style? I’ll take it.

Streaming Deals for College Students

1. Apple Music & Apple TV

Set the mood for doing homework with playlists made using your Apple Music student subscription. All you need is your student ID and student email to verify your student status before you have access to the discounted $5.99 monthly rate for 48 months. (You also get free access to Apple TV!)

2. HBO Max

Need to catch up on I Love LA or want to see why everyone is raving about The Pitt? Try out the streamer for half price, $5.49 per month, for up to 12 months. You can sign up for HBO Max’s student deal and verify through UNiDAYS.

3. Hulu

With a rotating slate of shows, from newer hits like Only Murders in the Building to classics like New Girl, you can watch them paying one of the most affordable subscription rates on this list. Use Hulu’s Student Deal to access the streamer with an ad-supported plan for $1.99 per month. You can take advantage of this deal as long as you’re a college student and verified with the streamer. 

4. Paramount +

If you’re looking for a Showtime show to watch, Paramount+ is for you, and the streamer boasts “40,000+ episodes [and] movies,” according to the website. With verified student status, you’re eligible for 50% off any Paramount+ plan. Ad-supported Paramount+ Essential costs $7.99 per month regularly, which means college students qualify for a $3.99 rate. Your student verification and discount are good for 12 months, and you can re-up as long as you’re a student.

5. Peacock

Catch up on this past season of Love Island with a student subscription to Peacock Premium. You can verify your student status here to unlock this $2.99 per month discount (it costs $10.99 per month without a discount). You’ll need to re-verify annually to continue the deal. (You can also get a similar deal after you graduate until you turn 24 if you sign up for the young adult discount.)

6. Spotify

Make dorm-cleaning playlists, listen to an audiobook, or pump party tunes with a Spotify Premium for Students subscription. Get one month free before paying just $5.99 per month. This deal also gives you access to a Hulu subscription with ads.

Tech Deals for College Students

1. Adobe Creative Cloud

Unlock new possibilities with Adobe Creative Cloud’s student discount. For one year, get access to more than 20 of the company’s programs for $29.99 per month. Simply provide a school-issued email account to be verified.

2. Apple

Looking to add to your Apple ecosystem or lean into the “iPad kid” label? Look no further than Apple’s Education Store. Products that have the “educational savings included” symbol are eligible for discounted pricing that will be reflected in the order total. It also works for newly accepted college students. 

3. Codecademy

Become a master coder with 35% off the regular price of Codecademy Pro when you verify your student status through SheerID. Learn new skills or practice old ones with this student membership.

4. Microsoft 365

Unlock access to Microsoft 365 for 12 months free using your college email address. After the free trial expires, you’ll get the discounted rate of $4.99 per month. With access to Word, Excel, Outlook, and more, you’re sure to stay organized and creative.

5. Microsoft

Get 10% off laptops and tablets at Microsoft. Simply check your eligibility by entering your email address, and you’ll be approved right away if you’re eligible. 

6. Prezi

Put your presentation skills to the test with Prezi’s plans. Use your school email address to unlock the EDU Pro plan for $8 per month or the EDU Plus plan for $4 per month.

App Deals for College Students

1. Babbel 

Brush up on your Spanish, practice your French, or learn a new language with Babbel. Students get access to three months of Babbel for $15.99 when you verify your student status through ID.me. This is a 65% discount on regular prices.

2. Calm

Start the year off right with Calm’s Student Plan. Sign in or create an account with your .edu email address to unlock the $3.50-per-month subscription (40% off the regular price). Something to be aware of is that after one year, your subscription will renew to the full monthly rate.

3. Headspace

Stressing over upcoming exams? Roommate troubles? Take a Headspace break. Verify your student status with SheerID and get access to the over 1,000 meditations and resources that Headspace offers for 83 cents a month, which comes out to $9.99 per year, an 85% discount on the regular price.

4. Peloton App

Bike, don’t walk, to Peloton’s student subscription. Verify your student status to enjoy the App One for $6.99 per month (usually $12.99 per month), App + for $12.99 a month (usually $28.99 a month), or an annual subscription for either for a discounted price. The app has workouts that don’t require equipment as well as bike and treadmill workouts you can do at your school gym.

5. Slack

Stay in touch with a Slack for Education discount. Get access to 85% off the Pro or Business + plans. Once you make a workspace, fill out the Slack for Education application form. It’ll ask for some basic info about the institution and a document from your school’s central administrator. 

6. You Need a Budget

If you’re new to this whole “having a budget” thing, you’ll probably love You Need a Budget (YNAB). The personal finance app helps you “give every dollar a job” and helps you do things like save money for next semester’s textbooks and also figure out how much you can spend on dinner with friends this weekend. While regular users have access to a monthlong free trial, college students can cash in for a yearlong trial once you verify your student status via SheerID.

Food & Delivery Deals for College Students

1. Blue Apron

Verify your student status through ID.me to receive 25% off your first order. While it can’t make up for a homemade meal, it’ll come close. 

2. DoorDash

Squash those late-night cravings with the DashPass. Get access to free delivery and 5% DoorDash credit on pickup orders. With your DoorDash DashPass student discount, it costs $4.99 per month or $48 for a year (it regularly costs $9.99 per month and $96 per year). 

3. GrubHub

If your school is partnered with GrubHub, get free access to GrubHub+ through graduation. This includes $0 delivery fees and exclusive deals. You can sign up for Grubhub+ Student by adding your campus card to your profile. You’ll receive an in-app popup that will prompt you to join GH+ Student. Alternatively, you can also go to Account, then to Grubhub+ to sign up for your free Grubhub+ Student.

4. Hello Fresh

If you have access to a full kitchen, get ready to feast with Hello Fresh, thanks to the company’s student benefits. Register through UNiDAYS to receive 55% off your first box and a continued 15%-off discount for the first 52 weeks. 

5. Uber One (Uber & Uber Eats)

Verify your student status through SheerID to unlock four weeks free of Uber One, which is good on the Uber and Uber Eats app. After that, it costs $4.99 per month (the non-student price is $9.99 a month). You can try Uber One for Students to get perks like $0 delivery fees on “eligible food, groceries, and more,” up to 10% off delivery and pickup orders, Uber One Exclusive promos (like free food with purchases from your go-to spots), and “6% Uber One credits on eligible rides.”

6. Chipotle

Craving some chips and guac? Make your order count a little extra by signing up for Chipotle U Rewards, the chain’s points program specifically for students. All you have to do to unlock some sweet (well, savory) college deals is create an account, validate your college status through ID.me, and then head to Chipotle for your usual burrito bowl order. For every dollar you spend, you’ll earn 12 points (versus 10 points for regular rewards members) and you get 1,000 free points just for signing up. You can cash in points for snacks and meals; a side of chips is 350 points, for instance, and a whole burrito is 1,625 points.

News Subscription Deals for College Students

1. The Atlantic

Stay up to date with The Atlantic’s student offerings. For $49.99 per year (usually $89.99 per year), you not only get a digital subscription, but also 12 magazine editions delivered to your apartment or dorm doorstep. Impress your friends with your intellect and display them. 

2. The Economist

Stay engaged with The Economist. Enjoy a digital subscription to the paper, including videos, podcasts, and newsletters for $62.25 per year (regularly priced at $249 per year). Simply verify your status through SheerID. 

3. The New Yorker

4. The New York Times

Read up on what The Wall Street Journal has to offer with the Student Digital Pack. For $4 per month (regularly $38.99 per month), get unlimited access to the app and articles, subscriber-only content, daily puzzles, and a subscriber-exclusive newsletter.

Travel Deals for College Students

1. Amtrak

Save 15% on purchases made one day in advance of your trip if you’re a student between ages 17 and 24. Using the Amtrak app, you can enter code V814 to access the student discount. 

2. United Airlines

Feed that itch to travel with discounted flights when you use your MileagePlus membership. With the United Airlines young adult discount, MileagePlus members ages 18–23 unlock 5% off when you book through the United app, making travel more accessible for those balling on a budget.

3. Student Beans

Find various flight deals when you shop through the Student Beans website. Click on a deal that works for your travel plans, and then verify your student status to get a percentage discount on things like flights and even hotels.

Other College Student Deals

1. AMC Theatres

Watch your favorites on the big screen for less with AMC Theatres’ student discount at participating theaters. Bring your student ID with you to unlock this discount.

2. GEICO

Get rewarded for good driving and good grades with GEICO’s student discounts on car insurance. According to the website, when students purchase an auto insurance policy, they could save $100, $150, or even $200. Full-time students qualify for these discounts if they maintain a B average or better. 

3. Mattress Firm

A new mattress can be expensive, so if you’re in the market for one, you can save 10–20% on your purchase from Mattress Firm. Verify your student status with ID.me, and then browse which sleeper works for you.

4. Museums

If you go to school in a larger city, most museums offer student discounts when a student ID is shown. For example, MOMA in New York City allows students at certain colleges free entry while the High Museum of Art in Atlanta offers discounted student memberships when a valid student ID is shown.

5. Purple

Upgrade your dorm bed (or hand-me-down mattress) with a new mattress or pillow from Purple. Verify your student status through Purple’s form, and you’ll get 10% off your order when you use the code sent to your email address.
