On my list of waning New Year’s resolutions, 2026 is the year that I am bringing cereal back into my life. I haven’t been a cereal guy for some time, but I see the upsides: great iron content, filling, almost always sugared up with flavor. There’s a lot to love. It’s been a long time since I’ve consistently enjoyed a bowl on a  snowy morning in my PJs.  After trying the newly rereleased Cinnamon Pebbles, everything I love about sugary cereals  just came back for me.

Yes, those Cinnamon Pebbles. You know, the highly elusive ones that were discontinued twice and have full online bidding wars over remaining boxes for $80 a pop. Well, they’re back after an excruciating hiatus and, unsurprisingly, they’re delicious.

What You Should Know About Cinnamon Pebbles

Cinnamon Pebbles are officially back on shelves after a long-winded situationship with grocery stores for decades. I’m unsure if the recipe remains the same as the original “Cinna-Crunch” cereal, which came out in the 1990s, disappeared in the early aughts, and returned in 2017 only to disappear once again. The latest version is sugar-cinnamon coated rice puffs.

The rereleased cereal comes in a variety of shapes and sizes: fun-sized 2-ounce cups, and 11-ounce and 19.5-ounce “family-sized” boxes. Shamefully, my hometown North Carolinian Walmart only had the standard boxes. (Spoiler: It’s really good; I could’ve devoured the family-sized box in a week by myself.)

My Honest Review of Cinnamon Pebbles

With a box in hand, I was ready to spoon a little yabba dabba doo into my system (sorry!). I prepared a bowl the right way (you know, milk after the cereal) and marvelled at the unreal, almost perfect crunch from these Pebbles. The cinnamon is layered in just the right amount to balance the accompanying vanilla flavor. That’s not to say it doesn’t spill out to create the most wonderful milky cinnamony slurry.

If you prefer your Pebbles dry, these will probably work for you, too. I crunched on some dry ones while slapping at my keyboard earlier (not sanitary) and the flavors are noticeably stronger when not diluted into the milk. Real mega minds should add them to vanilla ice cream —  the way the flavors mix in your mouth as the ice cream softens is divine.
