This Limited-Edition M&Ms Release Is Positively Groundbreaking — And You Can Try It for Free
It’s the moment every fan has been waiting for since 2006: The Devil Wears Prada 2 is finally coming out on May 1. The first movie is filled with iconic moments, one of the most memorable being when Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) calls out Andy (Anne Hathaway) for not recognizing the difference between two shades of blue. She points out Andy’s sweater and says, as part of one of the most quotable monologues ever, “What you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis; it’s actually cerulean.”
So, in preparation for even more fashion reads and incredible scenes, M&M’s is releasing a superspecial limited-edition batch of the crunchy chocolate candies. The catch? They’re all cerulean.
What Is the M&M’s All-Cerulean Special Edition?
In honor of the sequel coming out, M&M’s is acknowledging the iconic cerulean scene by selling an all-cerulean special-edition pack of cerulean — think blue like a cloudless sky — M&M’s. This drop combines M&M’S signature milk chocolate with one of pop culture’s most iconic hues. It will be available in limited quantities beginning Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m. ET on the M&M’s website.
If you’re the type of person who loves to sort your M&M’s by color, this collab is for you, especially if blue is your favorite color (like it is mine). I also love the idea of filling a candy dish with M&M’s all of the same color — I just know Miranda Priestly would find that chic!
How to Try Them for Free
The best part is you can try these for free. Just be sure to set a calendar reminder for 11 a.m. ET on Friday, May 1, since these all-cerulean packs will only be available while supplies last. If you’re lucky enough to snag one, you might just want to save it to bring with you to the movies to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 so you can pair your popcorn with the most on-brand treat.
