Makalah Wright is a senior at the University of West Georgia who is set to graduate in May 2026, with a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in public relations and a minor in music. Originally from Gainesville, Georgia, she got her start in journalism during her sophomore year of college, writing all things wellness and entertainment for Her Campus. Her bylines include The Daily Dot, Essence Girls United, Parade and more. Outside of her professional life, she loves to spend time with loved ones, thrifting, and being overly obsessive on iced vanilla chai lattes!
