This $29 Aldi Suitcase Is Like a $108 Béis Bag on Wheels
Whenever I need to pack for a short trip, I always find myself complaining about not having a good weekend duffle bag. I need something spacious enough to fit everything I need for a weekend away with friends or when I go home for the holiday break, but not so bulky that it takes up too much storage space in my room. I’ve been dreaming of the Béis Weekender bag, which sells for $108, and that’s definitely not in my budget.
Luckily, one of Aldi’s recent Aldi Find’s was a bag that looks just like it ticks all my boxes for the perfect small travel bag. The Rolling Duffle Bag is in my budget at $28.99, and it looks just like a dupe for the Béis Weekender, but with wheels!
What Is the Aldi Rolling Duffle Bag?
The $28.99 Aldi rolling duffle bag comes in beige, navy, and black. It’s almost 21 inches long, about 14.5 inches tall, and just over 9 inches deep; in comparison, the Béis Weekender measures 19 inches long, 16 inches high, and 10 inches deep. Its outer shell is made of recycled polyester, and it comes with an extremely handy zippered bottom compartment where you can stash shoes (so they don’t touch the rest of your clothes) or whatever else you need extra room for, as well as six interior pockets. Though you can carry the duffle using the two handles or cross-body strap, it also has a telescopic handle that you can use to pull it around on wheels, something the Béis Weekender does not have.
Why the Aldi Rolling Duffle Bag Is So Great
Aldi’s Rolling Duffle Bag has so many similarities to the Béis Weekender bag, from the zippered shoe compartment to the cross-body strap you can use if you want to carry it on your shoulder. Though both brands have beige and black versions of their bags, the full color options are slightly different: Aldi carries navy blue, while Béis offers pink, maple, and olive.
Most appealing to me, the Aldi duffle is almost 75% cheaper than the Béis version, and it looks like the perfect bag for holding as much as possible for short trips. For college students who need a sturdy bag when they go home for breaks (but don’t want to lug the entire contents of their dorm with them), this is a great budget-friendly option. Plus, I love how chic it looks!
Another Alternative to Shop
Since the Aldi Rolling Duffle Bag was an Aldi Find, meaning it’s on shelves for a limited time, you may not be able to find it at your local store if it’s sold out, and you can’t buy it online. Sometimes Aldi Finds come back around, so I would keep your eyes out for a restock. In the meantime, this MINKARS Weekender Bag from Amazon is another great Béis dupe.
Though it doesn’t have the wheels of the Aldi version, it does have the separate structured shoe compartment, cross-body strap, and even a bonus toiletry bag. It comes in two sizes: Personal item (17 inches long, 16 inches high, and 8 inches deep) and Carry-on (20 inches long, 16 inches high, and 10 inches deep). The smaller size is beige and costs $38, while the larger one is black and $44, so both are still considerably cheaper than the Béis Weekender.
